Betony (Stachys officinalis)This was a carefully composed photograph which I took as a demonstration of the fact that flower photography is not easy. This took 45 minutes to do: to find a suitable specimen, find the right angle, remove extraneous intrusive grass stems, set the tripod and camera up, decide on the exposure (particularly the aperture for the optimum - not maximum - depth of field), wait for the wind to stop blowing, and fire the shutter.
